yes it's a cheap fabric. I was expecting cotton but I use it everyday and it looks fine.

Bad material.
Looks fab in the photo. Looks cheap in real. Although the fit is decent, and style is good -- the material is rough like its old and weathered. Hence it does not look sophisticated or sheek -- which is what the look is going for.
Very disappointed, returned asap.

Not for me
I read the reviews on this jacket but ignored them as I was convinced it would look amazing on me. It did not. The pockets are not functional as the model makes them look. The jacket looks nice but feels thin and cheap. I rarely return items from The Limited but this one I couldn't allow to take up closet space, even at the sale price.

Good 4 the price
Like others have said, it does smell a little like chemicals when u first take it out of the bag, but after hanging it up for a day, the smell went away. Nice stylish coat, am 5'2 105lbs and the xs fit perfectly. The coat is a little light for a cold winter PA night but looks very cute on.

Love this coat!
Love the fit and color. I feel very stylish when I wear it. Not great for extreme cold, but works for autumn or mild winter weather.

Classy Coat
I love the color, large lapels, and weight of this coat. My only wish is that it fit slightly slimmer and longer, but that is not enough to keep me from reaching for this coat every single day.
It is not super thick, so might be too lightweight for colder climates, but it is perfect for a TN winter

I love this coat. It's very classy and sophisticated. It's a nice fit. The sleeves are a little big but it helps keep you warm. I love the color, it goes with almost anything. I would definitely recommend this coat to other people.

Classic Coat
This is a great fitting coat. I bought the one from last season as well and I feel like this one is not as classic looking. The wide neck opening fold-over collar may make it look outdated next season. But it is a very functional piece; the wool fabric will keep you warm through the coldest day of winter.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
This coat is beautiful and fits very nicely! The color is perfect for everyday wear. I only wish it would get cold enough in Lexington to wear it!! ;) I have only been able to pull it out of the closet two times this season... But at least now I have a brand new coat for next winter. Highly recommend!!

sooooo scratchy!
Saw this on the rack at my local store and tried it on just for kicks. I don't know what they fed the sheep whose wool made these coats, but wow! It was practically rash-inducing, and I had it on for all of two minutes. I own two poly/wool-blend peacoats, so I'm accustomed to the somewhat scratchy nature of wool. But this was intolerable, for me anyway. The wide collar wouldn't cooperate, either--I tried smoothing it so it'd lay better, but it just flared out oddly. With so many other coats on the market and on sale right now, I'd advise customers to skip this one and opt for something with a softer wool and better collar-drape (Victoria's Secret has an awesome plaid peacoat that I just bought on sale right now at their website for a competitive price).

This coat goes with everything! The collar and sash- tie waist give it a very stately look. I would agree with some of the reviews that this may not be the ideal coat for colder climates. However since I live in Florida it has been my saving grace during the sporadic cold fronts

Decent coat, but thin.
I ordered the coat half price. Some of the viewers were right about the coat being pretty thin. I think it would be good for cool evenings or if you live in warmer areas, like Southern California, but I wouldn't recommend it for colder climate areas. The fabric was itchy too, especially around the neck, and it did smell weird like what others said. The collar is really big, looked odd and weird for my petite frame and wouldn't lie right around my neck. I did love the camel color though, and the fit around the body is nice and slimming. I'm 110 and 5'2" and the XS fit perfect. Unfortunately, I decided not to keep it because I think I can find better somewhere else.

Great Coat Overall
Went to the Limited for Black Friday and saw this coat. It is a beautiful color and looks nice and classy (don't be intimidated by the collar). Goes well with jeans/dresses/skirts and I would definately recommend it.

Save your money!!!
This coat was such a huge dissapoinment! Too tight in the shoulders, very thin material, and the neckline is awkward. I ended up buying a camel colored coat similar to this one at Old Navy for $45 that is much more flattering and twice as heavy. What a let down, Limited!

A great buy
After reading previous reviews I was a little apprehensive about this jacket; however, once I received it, I was immediately in love! the pockets are indeed sewn shut (as are all pockets from the limited) to protect the product in shipping. after cutting the thread the pockets were a great size and plenty deep enough. I live in the south so the jacket is the perfect thickness for our mild winters. I also didn't notice any funny smells. Over all very pleased!
