Don't dry clean
Date:October 14, 2012
I took this jacket in to be dry cleaned after wearing it once and somehow the black bled onto the white sleeves turning them grey as well as the pockets ruining it. I know it was the fabric and not the cleaners ( I have used them for everything else white and black that I own) and was able to get a full refund from the Limited's store manager - thankfully. I hope they come out with another at some later date when it will be made with the proper dyes as it is really lovely on.
I wanted this jacket to work because I love black and white color combination. But when I tried it on, it seemed that the white was too summery white if wearing in colder months and the black too dark to wear in warmer months (and I wear white year long and black year long so I don't follow the white "rules"). And, the sleeves were a little too wide, making the Small (which fits everywhere else) look too big in the arms. I guess it just wasn't for me.
Perfect go to jacket for work or play. Looks great with the houndstooth pencil skirt, black tights, and accented with red accessories! True to size and constructed well. It is also light enough to extend into other seasons.
I've had my eye on this jacket for quite a while so when the Limited ran a recent store wide promo, I knew I had to grab it. I think this is the perfect blend of trendy and classic. Varsity jackets are big for fall but this is an updated take on that. The 3/4 sleeves and black and white keep this from looking too young while still allowing it to be dressed up with a pencil skirt and bright top or down with shorts or bright skinny jeans and a tee. This runs pretty true to size. I typically take an XS or size 2 in Limited jackets and the XS fit perfectly this and still gave me some room to layer.
