I was skeptical about purchasing a blazer online because I feel like they always fit so different. However, I loved the plaid print and decided to go for it. I was pleasantly surprised that the jacket fit perfect! And is very flattering, comfortable, and not tight in the arms at all (which was probably my biggest fear). I bought an XS and it fits great, I'm 5'4 and don't have broad shoulders, but I could see the arms being tight if you are more muscular. All in all, great jacket and happy I bought it!
Initially, I had my doubts about this "school-boy/preppy" look blazer but once I tried it on, I was sold! It fits great and looks great with this season's hottest color, burgundy. I pair it with the burgundy exact stretch ankle pant, the burgundy 678 skinny jeans or even the burgundy exact stretch slim bootcut pant. The top I wear under the jacket is the striped boatneck top which comes in a burgundy/navy stripe. The plaid and stripe combination is not over the top; it actually looks great! This jacket meets the usual quality standard of The Limited's jackets. I am a size 12 in The Limited's pants and dresses and normally wear size L in jackets/blazers and the size L fit perfectly. Overall, I would highly recommend this jacket and I am very pleased with my purchase!
It's hard to tell from the online pic but the plaid pattern is actually burgundy with subtle touches of dark blue (not really navy). This plaid pattern isn't as prominent as the green plaid jacket the Limited has out right now but it's still pretty in person. The fit on this is good and true to size. I typically take an XS in Limited jackets and the XS fit fine in this. I have the burgundy jeans the Limited has out right now so I plan on wearing this with those and probably a white button down and black vest to really set off the blazer and pull the color out more. I think I would have liked this just a bit better if the plaid would have been on a navy background instead of black but that's just personal preference. Overall though, very cute jacket and a nice change of pace from a basic black. Easy to mix and match with existing Limited pieces so that's always a plus.
