I bought this dress in the same size I always order from The Limited. I tried it on and thought it fit well, although I did find that it gapped in the most inappropriate places. I put it on a second time and like another reviewer, saw where there was a hole at the seam near the bottom button hole. Would not recommend and I am going to try to return it as defective.

The execution of this dress makes no sense. I am a true size medium top & bottom. I could not get this dress buttoned from the waist down over my hips. PLEASE LIMITED BRING BACK THE QUALITY FROM 2-3 YEARS AGO! Quality of everything lately is cheap & falls apart in addition to being overpriced. Not the same Limited I knew and loved years ago.

the material is a little thin but i LOVE the dress!!! it lays perfect and fits my curvy frame. dresses sometimes 'outline' all the wrong places but not this dress!!! it has a great shape! i would buy in more colors if available!!! a must have!!!

Like a nightgown!

The material on this dress was way too thin to be appropriate for the workplace. It was literally like a nightgown-type material. The fit was much larger than the normal fit for dresses from The Limited, so even if the material was thicker I still would have had to return it because it was way too big.

I absolutely loved this dress until I tried it on. I am curvy with muscle (athlete) but this dress pulled in all the wrong places. It was inappropriate for work. It is a very slim fitting dress.

I saw this dress online and loved it and the other retro print. I went into the store to try it on and it looked just as good in person. The fabric is thin but sturdy, and perfect for mild NC winters. I'm 5'1.5", 128 lbs and 32F bust. The small fits perfectly without gaps or pulling at the buttons. Also, the pockets lie flat against my body without that puffy look you get with some pocketed dresses. Surprisingly, the belt is also a great color and quality and can pull double duty with other outfits.

The fit and pattern are really cute, love this dress. It is my first shirt dress so I was skeptic given I am bust heavy (size 0 to 2 but triple D). The fit lays smooth over the chest after a put a cami underneath. The material is thin so not expecting it to last more that few wears.

I was hesitant about buying this dress because of the previous reviewers but decided to purchase anyway (obvi). The small fit perfectly (I am 125lbs/5'4"/34D) fyi. Yes, the material is thin. However, I felt like because of the thin fabric it would be great for the spring/early summer weather. It's too bad this dress came out now and not March/April. Maybe reviewers would have been a little more forgiving? Anyway, I do recommend this dress. It's a classic print and will most likely never go out of style - and the belt is cute too!

Beware Poor Quality!

I loved the fit of this dress and felt it flattered my figure. I was so disappointed when I tried it on at home only to fine a small hole forming at the seam near one of the buttons. I looked at the other buttons and gently tugged the fabric and noticed the seams were starting to come apart. As another reviewer said, the material is paper thin, and i find it tears very easily. Thank goodness I noticed this before I wore it to the work event I purchased it for!
As a longtime Limited customer, I am concerned about the quality of The clothing. It seems they are using cheaper fabric that cannot withstand regular washing and wear. This is the 2nd Limited clothing item i've had tear near the seam (and the clothes were not too tight). The other item was a shirt that tore at the neckline and my seamstress couldn't fix it, so I threw it away. Fortunately the tags are still on this dress so it's going back!!

This seems like a dress that could compliment all shapes and sizes. Like the other reviewer said, the material is very thin, but that does not translate to subpar quality. It looks very expensive and fits well. I wear a 2 in pants and dresses, and the extra small fits perfectly. The only warning I have is that you must wear a belt with this. It is much too loose to wear without.

This dress is PAPER thin. It will be great for the spring, but I was hoping to pair it with some tights this winter (not going to happen). Also, the cut of the dress is a little off. I'm usually a small in Limited dressed, but this dress barely buttoned over my hips. If you've got big hips like me you're going to need to size up. Overall I love the color and the belt isn't bad either, I just wish the material was a little thicker and it wasn't so tight around the hips. BONUS: it has pockets!!
